My main focus of the trip to Paris was to practice street photography.
I think this is definitely an area of photography I need to improve on as coming from The Lake District I had done very little urban street photography so I knew I wanted to practice this more. Also, it meant I had street photography images that I could add to my website and Instagram page in order to have a wider range of photography on there.
Paris is renown for being a beautiful city, and it was therefore evident that there is going to be loads of street photography of Paris out there and I thought a lot about how to make my photographs different, how to make them stand out from the rest.
I thought one of the best ways to do this was to photograph non stereotypical things and use unusual vantage points in my photos to make the different.

These were three of my favourite images I took in Paris and I like them as I think they show a different side to Paris as they are not just the stereotypical, popular, tourist attractions of Paris shot from a frontal perspective.
I think overall I completed my aim for Paris as I got a lot of successful street photography which can be seen in the gallery below. I think visiting the popular tourist attractions helped to develop my creativity skills in my photography as it challenged me to get interested shots at a place that has been photographed by millions of people. I enjoyed this challenge and I think having a clear aim of what I wanted to achieve in Paris kept me motivated to try and find interesting subjects and vantage points throughout the trip.
